RE: ( "WE WIN") (Word Evangelism With Indigenous Nations) Television Program
****IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE****
(" As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love") John 15:9
Jeanie Greene ,Inupiat ( Northern Eskimo), is the award winning producer, host, and editor of " Heartbeat Alaska" a syndicated show about Alaska's news, and topics of interest that is currently aired in the fifty states.
Today, God is giving some religious television broadcasters such as Jeanie Greene the concept of reaching Native Americans, and all indigenous groups through their own people, with the gospel of Jesus Christ. .
The "WE WIN " Television Program, ( World Evangelism with Indigenous Nations) was birthed in Jeanie's heart out of this pressing need. Christian indigenous television is surprisingly and virtually non-existent in today's world. Our vision therefore is to reach all Native American reservations and indigenous peoples globally with the gospel through television. The first three hour special of "WE WIN" was shot on location with six cameras at the First Assembly of God Church in Alaska. The program had large amounts of beautiful worship songs, fiery anointed preaching by numerous Native evangelists, and was filled with the awesome move of the Holy Spirit in the state that is experiencing probably the greatest revival in our nation at this time. On the "Fourth of July" of this year, the special was aired nationwide on "Angel One", one of the dbs satellites of The Dominion Sky Angel Christian Satellite TV Network. Another special is due to air in the year 2000. Jeanie Greene has also been granted by Sky Angel a half hour weekly show starting up this month. This is an absolute first for indigenous Christian television.
Secondly, the team
at "WE WIN" feels strongly unanimous, that God has
commissioned us to build an indigenous Christian television network, the first
of its kind . It will transmit the gospel to all Native American
reservations in the United States and Canada, and indigenous people globally
through a variety of native Christian programs. We no
longer have the luxury to produce and air Christian programming that
consistently leaves out the 3,000,000 Native Americans living in the United
States and "First Nations" peoples throughout the
world. In the last survey that was reported by the
Assemblies of God, there was a 2%-3% conversion rate among the native
people of this nation, alone, to Christianity. Jean Steffenson, of
the Native American Resource Network, was woken up by the Lord, several
years ago, with an incredibly anguished burden from the Spirit
of God. The Lord told her that little would be accomplished by
the church in this nation until it repented of the atrocities it has
committed towards Native Americans.
