My wife Mary and myself are white believers that were called three years ago to serve Native Americans in the gospel. We have always felt very strongly that Native Americans should always glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through their God given culture. To us that means full regalia. I remember raising my concerns to a friend of mine who is the president of one of the largest Native American ministries in this country. I told him that I was concerned that in numerous Native American churches of the southwest there were too many Anglo worship songs. I told him that I as a white man was now concerned that the Native believer was now being asked to adapt to the white way in the churches! I thought that 600 years was enough! I saw one Native lady worshiping the Lord using Native gestures. Let me tell you pastor it was one of the most anointed ways of worship I had ever seen.
